The word tested can describe very different checks. Fiber acceptance is easier to evaluate when the scope identifies the question each test is intended to answer.

An optical loss test measures the loss through a link. An OTDR sends light into the fiber and interprets returning signals to help characterize events along its length. A trace and an end-to-end loss result therefore provide different information.
Neither a product name nor a general promise of certification defines the complete acceptance scope. Agree on the required method, test conditions, and limits using the project requirements.
Results should correspond to the installed fiber identifiers and endpoints. If those identifiers do not match the drawings or enclosures, even a passing result can be difficult to use during later service.
The report should make the tested arrangement understandable. Review the information needed to distinguish the intended installed link from temporary connections used during testing.
Ask how unsuccessful results will be investigated and retested. A collection of files is not a complete acceptance record when an unresolved discrepancy is hidden among them.
Keep the accepted results with the final route and termination information. This gives future work a useful baseline and helps the owner locate the evidence for a particular connection.
In this context, certification means evaluating the installation against specified criteria. It does not automatically establish a manufacturer warranty, a contractor credential, or a guarantee for every future application.
